Dwiki.in : MCD Elections have been announced in Delhi.  MCD Elections will take place in Delhi on 22nd April, 2017.  The results for MCD Elections 2017 in Delhi will be announced on 25th April, 2017.  MCD Elections are held after every 5 years.

The full form of MCD is ‘Municipal Corporation of Delhi’.  Delhi has been divided into three regions or zones east, north and south Delhi.  MCD Elections are also known as Nagar Nigam Chunav or Nagar Palika Chunaav.  The Mayor and Deputy Mayor is selected through MCD Elections for the Union Territory of India, Delhi.

In the last elections of MCD, the BJP (Bhartiya Janta Party) won majority seats as there was direct competition with Congress but this time BJP has another competitor that is Aam Aadmi Party which won 67/70 seats in Delhi Vidhan sabha elections 2017 and even AAP won more than in Delhi MCD By Polls 2016 than BJP and Congress.
